I’m sick of not being in my own photographs! I’m the picture taker… so I’ve had to learn how to take effective “Selfies” long before the cool term was created. My hubby does take the camera when prompted, but when we both want to be in the photo, or someone else isn’t around I need to take matters into my own hands. Leighton has been refusing to take a bottle for a little while now (since a bad month-long cold). This isn’t a huge deal until I need to be away for a wedding… or whatever. Knowing we had a wedding coming up in January (pictures to come), I started practicing with him. Days after the wedding (sorry mike), he FINALLY mastered bottle drinking again! Fortunately the sun was just right and the camera was close! I snapped this first one and LOVED it. I think these photos will be added to my favorites. I love that I am in them as well! A girl has to exercise the arm muscles to hold the camera steady and snap a photo one handed!

Leighton is playing with my necklace in the last photo… something he has been doing for a while, and I was soooo glad to caught it. He likes to flip it around in his fingers while he nurses… a memory I will cherish.
