Zak + Shannon :: Engaged! || Detroit Institute of Arts Engagement

Shannon and Zak met on Memorial weekend at the Ravens Club in Ann Arbor on a blind date. A year later they will wed. We love all things she tells us about the unique and meaningful plans for their wedding which will be held at the Ravens Club. Zak is a professional violin maker and one of his violins will be played by a friend, who is a musician, during the ceremony. A close friend of Shannons was ordained to marry the two in front of 70 of their close friends and family. When we first spoke over the phone I could envision the wedding as she described it and immediately became excited to document their wedding day.

DIA is such a gem in Detroit and we were lucky enough to meet up one weekend in August for their engagement shoot. As we snapped images of them holding hands and laughing we could see they are very much smitten for each other. Her vintage diamond and sapphire ring was given to her after having dinner on their hotel balcony in Paris. A vacation that she gifted him for christmas. As you can see, they are both equally romantic. Mary and I are both forward to their Memorial weekend wedding!!
