Shannon + Zak :: Married!! Kerrytown Concert hall Ceremony and Ravens Club Reception || Ann Arbor Wedding Photographers

They met on a blind date at Ravens Club in Ann Arbor. He proposed in Paris. They are the bees knees.

We met up with Shannon to capture a little of her getting ready before heading over to Kerrytown to see Zak before their ceremony. She looked perfect. Her mother and sister helped her into her gown as her niece looked on in amazement. When it came time to do their first look Mary and I stepped back and photographed from a distance. Oh, they are so perfect in each other’s arms. Any nerves disappeared as they met. They walked and hugged. We followed along and photographed their loving embraces then made our way to the Kerrytown Concert hall where a quartet was setting up, and champagne awaited arriving guests. A close friend flew in from United Kingdom to marry them at their intimate wedding ceremony.  Before, during and after the ceremony one of Zak’s friends played a violin that Zak made, as he is a professional violin maker. The concert hall was filled with such beautiful music. It was a remarkable wedding. To make their wedding even more exciting, they exited the building and walked the few blocks as a group to the Ravens Club where the reception was to be held. A beautiful splendor of sweets by Sweet Heather Anne awaited everyone. It lined the window of the Ravens Club and nearly every passer by stopped to see what was happening in the restaurant that night. Food, drinks, and laughter filled the small space. Zak’s father sang a song he wrote, and Shannon’s gave a toast while tears of joy were wept. So many beautiful moments. These two know how to throw a wedding. Here are just a few of the many images from their beautiful May wedding.
