Mel & Vinney just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary, and so I figured it was about time to get a few of their images up to share the beauty of their day…
We first met via Skype, and Mel asked all the right questions. She knew what she wanted and we excitedly were a match! Several months later we met up on Belle Isle for a sunset engagement session where we saw first hand that Mel and Vinny had style and spark. Their love for Literature and history fueled their wedding day choices. We began our day with the couple at the historic Hilton Double Tree in Downtown Detroit. Each in separate rooms, with bridal prep in full swing. The guys doing a traditional toast, and the ladies finished makeup and helping Mel into her beautiful lace gown. It was a chilly November day, and the skies were bright blue which made the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament glow as the sunset just after the ceremony. We visited a few favorite places in Detroit for photographs and back to the Hilton for their wedding reception in their historic ballroom. Friends and family surrounded this couple with their love and well wishes. Various books, and vases of flowers decorated the room. Vinny’s small niece danced in the wild light show provided by the DJ, and made everyone snap a photo as she twirled in her special dress with the bride.
